Description
This Teran shows medium deep, violet colour a bit less intense of what we usually get from a typical Teran. This is partly due to the fresher nature of the vintage 2023 but also from the less extraction in the winery. Very open, youthful on the nose, showing a good amount of crushed red and black fruits such as redberries, raspberries, black cherries, and forest fruits with a nice spicy layer such as black pepper. Everything seems to be dark and ripe but still fresh. Rather similar to vintage 2022, when the newer style of teran started to occur in our winery. Further aromas are evolving with t ime. Dry on the palate, with high acidities typical of Teran and vintage 2023, giving it crispness and vibrancy. Tannins are minimal due to the low extraction, but noticeable. A refreshing, modern style of Teran from Istria which features drinkability, fruitiness, and liveliness. A nice wine by glass.
