The Crvik winery is located not far from Dubrovnik in picturesque Konavle, where tradition is respected in all segments of life to this day. It is most visible in the architecture, cultivation of the land, and customs, which are evidenced by the numerous folklore performances enjoyed by many visitors to this beautiful region. The vineyards, as well as the lush Mediterranean vegetation in which the house of the Crvik family is immersed, is an ideal place for relaxation, tasting and socializing with numerous wines in which, in addition to the aroma of this gentle region, you can feel a strong dose of love and tradition for winemaking, which they have been respecting for many years and passing on in their wines the Crvik family. The winery was founded in 1993 based on the tradition of production, which still dates back to the end of the 19th century. This is a family winery run by the third generation Mr. Andro Crvik and fourth generation, son Petar Crvik, graduate agronomist, of this family. The vineyards of the Crvik family are located in the immediate vicinity of the winery itself, in a sunny area where the carefully cultivated authentic Plavac mali and Malvasia varieties from Dubrovnik extract only the best from the sun and the earth and turn them into refined juices that are stored in bunches hidden behind crooked vines. The vine is a very delicate culture that requires a lot of effort, and because of this, maintaining a vineyard is a painstaking but rewarding job, because with love and dedicated work, the result is never lacking. The vine without controlled human help is not able to produce its noble fruits. This is one of the reasons for the long tradition of wine production in the Crvik family, the love for this fragile plant as well as the art of producing a good drop. When producing wine, we try to produce ecologically acceptable yields, and we place emphasis on the quality of the grapes and nurture them in as natural conditions as possible with minimal agrotechnical measures. The Crvik Winery extends through part of the old part of the Crvik family house where the wine is stored, where the thick walls control the temperature of the interior regardless of the season. However, top quality wines are not only obtained from love and dedicated work. Knowledge and expertise as well as the way of storing wine is very important to achieve quality. That is why in the new part of the house there is a space for control and the processing process as well as storing wine. There is also an area for tasting products from the Crvik winery. The annual production of wine is approx. 30,000 -40.000 bottles. All red wines are barricaded.
