The tradition of the first Dalmatian wine cooperative established in 1903 as well as
its vineyards located on the island of Brac inspired us to create unique and special
vines.
Our inspiration for wine making has developed in two directions resulting in two
different wine labels – Stina and Brač 1903. Stina wines are made exclusively of the
best indigenous dalmatian grape varieties – plavac and tribidrag (ancestors and
cousins of better known zinfandel and primitivo) for red, and posip and vugava for
white wines. While Stina reinterprets traditional dalmatian wines, wines from the
label Brac 1903 are result of our inspiration to play and mix traditional dalmatian
and famous international grapes (chardonnay, viognier, cabernet sauvignon, sirah,
merlot…) that we have planted in our vineyards. These wines are more affordable
and are considered best value for money.
Stina as a brand was established in 2009 on the island of Brac, Croatia.
Today we have 60ha of vineyards and we have planted mainly indigenous
Dalmatian grape varieties:
Plavac Mali, Tribidrag, Posp and Vugava.
